The Four Valleys Lift Pass lives on!

With the quarrel over who gets what in lift pass sales taking months to come to a head, het 4 Vallées have finally found common ground. This means that you can continue to make the most of the largest ski area in Switzerland (and the third biggest ski domain in Europe), all under one ski pass.

Although not largely know about, or indeed thought to be relevant, by most holiday-makers, there are in fact several lift companies within the Four Valleys (operating in the villages of Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz en Thyon) that collectively ‘team up’ to offer the combined 4 Vallées lift passes.

Het 2014-15 season looked bleak until agreement was reached, with each lift company squabbling about their share of revenue and maintenance liabilities. Without agreement, each resort looked set to stick with just their own local pass system, making holiday-makers purchase separate passes in order to ski or board the whole area. It would have been a head-ache!

After what seemed like an eternity full of uncertainties and intense negotiations, we at Just-Verbier.Com are extremely happy to inform you that the 4 Vallées ski domain pass system has been renewed for the 2014-2015 winter season. And, as though they had been teasing us all along, this new agreement is set to last not just a further 5 or even 10 jaar, but 18 jaar!

… which is good news for everyone who skis in Verbier!

Verbier nestles itself on a plateau at 1500m with the village providing skiing and boarding up to a staggering 3330m on Mont Fort, and offering over 412km of pistes (plus een aantal van de beste off-piste buckelpistes en back-country skiën terrein ergens op de aardbol).

More details about lift prices for the 2014/15 winter season can be found on the lift company’s website.
