On the mountain

La Marmotte
The restaurant is set up high above the village and is famous for its torch-lit descent on sledges after dinner. It is only accessible by skimobile in the winter evenings and is a great venue to spend an evening with friends and family. We’d suggest hiring a sledge and heading up to La Marmotte on the last bus, which stops at Carrefour. Once at Carrefour walk up to La Marmotte along the piste, which takes around twenty minutes, and take your sledge with you. Once you have finished your meal it’s time to sledge all the way back to the village! Tel 0041 27 771 68 34

Cabane du Mont-Fort
This is a proper mountain refuge, perched high on a plateau half way down the red run from Col des Gentianes to La Chaux. An ideal stop for lunch or simply a hot chocolate or vin chaud, its sunny terrace views are arguably some of the best in the Alps! Bookings can be made between 9:00am and 11:00am.
